The former employee of the Property Handling Agency was sent to prison for

GJKKO (Court against Corruption and Organized Crime), has set the security measure 'prison arrest' for the former inspector of the Property Handling Agency, Ilir Kapetani, arrested for corruption. He appeared this Wednesday before the Special Court where he denied the charges against him.

On the other hand, SPAK claims that the Captain is involved in at least 14 corruption cases with the heirs of the former owners to whom he promised solutions in exchange for sums of money during the requests made for the return and compensation of the properties.

The captain promised certain persons that he would return the properties they claimed belonged to them if, in exchange for this illegal favor, they would give him the sums of money he demanded.  

Meanwhile, for this matter, two citizens have been placed under house arrest and the measure of 'compulsion to appear' has been set for 6 others, for the criminal offense of "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions".

The Captain himself is accused of "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions". According to the prosecution, the sums that were taken from the citizens ranged from 30,000 to 300,000 ALL.

The arrest of the Captain was carried out on March 20 by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK).
