These 20 Cities Will Be Equipped with Smart Cameras and Monitored 24 Hours

Twenty cities will be equipped with a system of intelligent cameras aimed at enhancing community safety, protecting life and private property, and monitoring road traffic.

According to TV Klan, there are 20 cities where these devices will be installed, which will be operational around the clock.

In 5 of the cities, namely Kamz, Vlora, Lezha, Rashhen and in part of Tirana, intelligent cameras have started.

Through these high-resolution devices, the situation on the ground is monitored, the movement of each vehicle and the license plates of the declared 'alert' vehicles are identified.

High-resolution intelligent cameras also work on audio and allow clear images for suspects moving on foot or in a vehicle.

Cities designated to be part of the "Smart City" project were selected by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the State Police based on the level of criminality they have.

The 20-city intelligent camera monitoring project will cost a total of 60 million euros, with a significant part of the value being made available by the UAE.
