Ministry of Interior calls on citizens: Beware of misleading messages

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy calls on citizens to be careful about some fraudulent messages that have been circulating recently.

Through an announcement on social networks, the Ministry of Interior explains that on behalf of this institution, as well as that of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services (GDRTRS), citizens are sent SMS messages containing suspicious links for fines or payments.

The Ministry of Interior invites citizens to be careful and not to click on any links contained in these messages, while reminding them of the official communication channels.

"BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT SMS!"

In recent days, fraudulent messages have been circulating in the name of the Ministry of Interior and the Department of Public Works. These SMS messages that arrive on citizens' phones contain suspicious links for "fines" or payments.

Be careful!

- Don't click the link.

- Do not give out personal or banking information

- Delete the message immediately

- Attention: official state websites end only with .gov.al

- For any verification, use only official channels such as e-Albania", announces the Ministry of Interior.
