SPAK issued arrest warrants today for the head of Tirana's traffic department, Roven Zeka, Sokol Novaku, head of the Accidents Sector at the Traffic Police, and Edison Tabaku, an officer of the Judicial Police.

Professor of Criminalistics, Ervin Karamuço said on the show "Review" that in the case of traffic chief Roven Zeka, it is about signing acts in violation of the laws to regulate the scene of an accident, so the charge brought against him is that of abuse of office. Meanwhile, as for the other 2 officials, they are charged with passive corruption.

"It was agreed to pay a sum to fix the scene of an accident, the acts he signed confirm the abuse of office, it is not known whether the sum of money reached him. The police have had problems with corrupt acts for many years, especially the traffic police."

We have not had a crackdown of this level so far, there are also police leaders who have taken control of the chaotic situation of many businesses and therefore have started clashes. Last year, we had clashes between powerful businessmen and traffic police chiefs in Tirana and the surrounding areas. There were even threats and blackmail from one of the biggest businessmen in the country, who threatened Zeka, saying that he would no longer be there. It has been about 2 weeks since Zeka referred this allegation to his superiors, but we do not know whether it is related to the SPAK accusation, "said Karamuço.
