Agustin Lleshi , a person internationally wanted for the production and trafficking of narcotics, has been extradited to Albania.

Lleshi had been on the run since 2023, when the Lezha Court assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison".

He is suspected of having been involved in a case of transporting a quantity of narcotic substance of the Cannabis Sativa type , with the intention of selling, an event that occurred near the Rrëshen overpass and was busted by the Police last year.

Interpol Tirana announced the finalization of an extradition operation from Zagreb to Albania, of Agustin Lleshi, 51 years old, born in Lezha.

Police announcement:

A citizen with a security measure of "Arrest in prison" is extradited from Zagreb by the Lezha Court, for the production/sale of narcotics. As a result of close cooperation between Interpol Tirana and counterparts in Croatia, the extradition procedure to Albania of the internationally wanted citizen, A. Ll., 51 years old, born in Lezha, was finalized.

The Lezha Court, in 2023, assigned this citizen the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics". In 2023, it is suspected that this citizen was implicated in a case of transporting a quantity of the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa, with the intention of selling, a case cracked by the Police, at the Rrëshen overpass.
