The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, visited on Friday evening the deputies and citizens hospitalized in the emergency room of the University Hospital, injured from the clash with the police.

Berisha visited MPs Luçiano Boçi and Klevis Balliu, as well as member of the National Council of the Democratic Party, Aulon Kalaja.

Speaking to the media, Berisha said that Kalaja was hit in the back of the head with a rubber bat.

"The police have thrown stun grenades and Molotov cocktails at the protesters. I guarantee Edi Rama's mercenaries that they will be held accountable for these illegal acts and heinous crimes against peaceful protesters."
