The Criminal Court of Kosovo has accepted Ajola Xoxa 's request to change the security measure " compulsory appearance ".

The wife of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj , requested a relaxation of the measure, arguing that her health condition, due to pregnancy, requires more flexible treatment, as well as the opportunity to move abroad.

Currently , since February of last year, security measures such as "compulsory appearance" and "ban on leaving the country" have been imposed on Xoxa .

The Mayor of Tirana has been under " prison arrest " since February 10, 2025, when he was arrested by order of SPAK, and 13 charges have been filed against him, including passive corruption, money laundering, failure to declare assets, and abuse of office.

The mayor has opposed them, while the legal process has currently begun at the GJKKO, where the first hearings have been held. Due to the health condition of the seven-year-old, the mayor's wife is represented by a lawyer.
