The candidate of "Bashke Fitomje" in Himarë who was arrested yesterday, Fredi Beleri, is expected to appear before the court today to familiarize himself with the security measure.
Beleri was arrested shortly after midnight in front of his bar along with another person. Numerous police forces took part in his handcuffing, which was done on the orders of SPAK. Beleri himself and others have denied that they were involved in such violations as vote buying.
It is learned that Fredi Beleri has sought doctors in custody, after he claimed that he did not feel well in terms of health.
Sources say that Beleri has claimed to have diabetes (citing several other ailments), and is asking doctors to assess whether he should stay in a cell or in the hospital.
While Pandeli Kakoveshi, Fredi Beler's friend, who was also arrested for buying votes, has been hospitalized at QSUT in Tirana, after claiming to have health problems. It is expected that the measure of personal security against him will be done in the premises of the QSUT hospital.
Sources say that the Greek ambassador to our country, Konstantina Kamitsi, will also be present at the trial.
