The Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has begun, on its own initiative, investigations into the damages that have caused a complete traffic blockage on the Librazhd-Pogradec road axis since yesterday.

This criminal proceeding has been registered for the criminal offenses of "Abuse of office", "Violation of equality in public tenders or auctions", "Destruction of the road", "Pollution of air, water or land".

For this purpose, an investigative group has been created.

Due to the severe damage suffered by the Librazhd-Pogradec road, the Albanian Road Authority completely blocked traffic on this axis, not only for vehicles, but also for pedestrians.

For more than 24 hours, the only connection from Tirana to Korça has been via the Maliq-Moglicë-Gramsh axis, a road that is difficult to pass due to the depreciated infrastructure and that adds an hour to the distance.

For drivers, the ARRSH says that they should use the Maliq - Lozhan - Strelc - Gramsh - Elbasan and Qafthanë - Pogradec - Korçë - Leskovik - Përmet - Tepelena roads, while drivers of heavy tonnage vehicles should use the roads at the Qafë Thanë - Macedonia Customs Point and the Bllata Customs Point - Arbërit Road.
