The 22-year-old man who was trapped after entering Osum to assist RENEA during the search for the body of 45-year-old Ilir Kurti has been rescued.

22-year-old Xhuljano Kaloti had been stuck in the water since noon on Saturday and operations to remove him from the area had failed.

But fortunately, this Sunday morning, the young man was rescued and is in good health, conscious and currently under the care of the medical team.

"In support of local structures, the National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC) coordinated the search and rescue operation, which was carried out thanks to the close cooperation between climbers, volunteers, RENEA forces and the Armed Forces, in extremely challenging conditions. The operation continues without interruption to search for the other person reported missing," the announcement states.
