The 45-year-old Albanian, Taulant Malaj, confessed to the massacre he committed with his own hand, where he stabbed his daughter, 16-year-old Xesika Malaj, injured his wife, Tefta Malaj, and killed the Italian man Massimo De Santis, with whom he suspected his wife was cheating on him. 

According to the confession, in the last few days they had a family argument, again about the alleged infidelity of the wife, after which Taulant Malaj said he wanted to separate, but his wife convinced him to stay at home.

The 45-year-old claims that he had caught his wife, Tefta, several times over time on the third floor of the building where her lover, Massimo De Santis, lived.

"My wife admitted that she had an affair with Massimo. He apologized to me for this relationship, but I wanted to break up," he confessed.

But, he claims that something else would have happened on Sunday. According to his confession, while he was in bed with his wife, he claims that Tefta started talking to someone on the phone. Suspicious, Taulanti looked at the woman's phone and discovered that she was talking to the neighbor, Massimo. After a while he left the house and waited for Massimo to come home from the bar.

As soon as the man entered the door, he stabbed him to death. Malaj even told the prosecutor, the lawyers report, that he had "killed Massimo first", then went up to the house where he started stabbing his wife and then his daughter, who was trying to protect her mother.

"At that moment, blinded by rage - Taulant Malaj's lawyers say - he did not realize that he was in front of his daughter and started hitting her." The two lawyers talk about "a strong bond between the confessed author and his children", the 16-year-old and a 5-year-old boy.
