A tragic event has shocked the town of Cadimare in Italy, where a young Albanian man lost his life after falling ill while swimming in the waters of the Gulf of Poets.

The victim has been identified as Ambler Xhoecuka, who would have celebrated his 23rd birthday in just a few weeks.

According to Italian media , the young man had decided to go swimming for the first time this tourist season. He left his clothes near the shore and jumped into the sea, but just a few minutes later he collapsed in the water.

It was a woman passing by the area who noticed the body floating about 50 meters from the shore and immediately raised the alarm, with two young men immediately jumping into the water without hesitation and managing to pull the young man to shore.

Doctors and nurses fought for nearly an hour to bring the 22-year-old Albanian back to life, but despite intensive efforts, Ambler's heart never started beating again.

Italian authorities identified the victim through personal documents and items he had left on the shore.

According to Italian media reports, it is suspected that the young man suddenly felt unwell due to physical overload while swimming in the still cold waters of the Italian bay.
