Erion Isai leaves SPAK smiling, refuses to talk to the media

The mayor of Kolonja, Erion Isai, has left the SPAK premises after standing in front of prosecutors for over an hour.

Isai is accused of "Violation of the principles of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions." As he left SPAK, he was seen smiling but refused to speak to the media.

SPAK has specifically investigated the tender for the Korça-Ersekë road, as well as that for the village water supply.

In the SPAK file, the socialist mayor of Kolonja, Erion Isai, is suspected of being directly interested in and rushing to win two of the tenders that the Special Prosecution Office has taken into custody for abuse of office and violation of equality in tenders.

Frequent conversations with the administrator of the company "A & E Engineering" sh.pk, uncovered by investigators, show the insistence of the senior local official to influence and benefit, through the manipulation of figures, documentation and the regulation of funds with the suspected aim of financial gain.
