A serious incident has occurred in the city of Gjirokastra, where a 17-year-old has been declared wanted by the police.

It is suspected that the 17-year-old sexually abused a 10-year-old in the presence of two other minor children.

"Crime Investigation Specialists at the Gjirokastra Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office and declared a 17-year-old resident of the Zinxhira neighborhood wanted, as it is suspected that this citizen, in the presence of 2 other minor citizens, aged 9 and 10, is suspected of having sexually abused a 10-year-old," the police announced.

According to police information, the 17-year-old fled towards Greece before the report from the 10-year-old's parents arrived at the police station.

"The 17-year-old left for Greece before the 10-year-old and his parents came to the police station to file a report," the announcement further states.

The minors were interviewed in the presence of a psychologist. Meanwhile, the police continue their investigations to fully clarify the case.
