Unprecedented / The highest head of the Greek army meets Janullatos in Tirana,
Janullatos with Greek Chief of Staff Dimitrios Choupis

The highest leaders of the Greek army met in Tirana with Archbishop Anastas Janullatos, as they also honored him with a medal.

It has become common for every senior Greek official who visits Tirana to meet with what is often referred to as the protector and propagator of Hellenism in Albanian lands, Archbishop Anastas.

But a meeting with the highest head of the Greek army, the Chief of the General Staff of the National Defense of Greece, General Dimitrios Choupis, could seem somewhat meaningless, for a state that still maintains the law of war with Albania, where Janullatos preaches for more than 30 years.

In fact, it was previously rumored that Janullatos holds the high rank of colonel in the Greek army.

Janullatos is already known for his meetings with controversial characters, as he did not hesitate to visit Fredi Beleri in prison, a character with a dark past and convicted for humiliating Albania and its symbols.
