In the investigation that led to the arrest of 16 Albanians in Italy in a wide network of drug trafficking, it is revealed that there were two Albanian mafia families, Lusha and Goseni. Drugs were sold by the kilo, with couriers who supplied drug trafficking groups, and from the profit of this activity, the money was invested in various businesses in Albania in the form of laundering.
The Italian media reveal that Shkëlqim Lusha, 57 years old and Eduart Goseni, 49 years old, were at the head of the traffic, as the main people arrested during the anti-drug action of the police in Milan in the operation of September 13, where 24 people were arrested. The two Albanians are suspected to be representatives of two families that controlled drug trafficking.
According to "Corriere Della Sera", the criminal network has sold hundreds of kilograms of drugs in Milan and the northern region of Lombardy.
The investigation began after the arrest in 2020 of the courier Daniele Carra, 57 (from Pandino, Cremona), in Switzerland with 5.9 kilograms of heroin, who decided to cooperate with the police.
Carrà has no experience and when he ends up in prison he decides to cooperate: "I started selling drugs in 2019 to earn money", he testified to the Italian investigators.
His stories will be matched with conversations, wiretapping records and conversations in the hands of the carabinieri.
Albanians always kept accounts with an organization similar to that of Italian organized crime.
And in fact, as in a mafia story, at one point, it is Eduart Gosen's mother, Dëshira, who rushes to come from Albania to Italy to help her son after Carra's arrest.
Not only to comfort him, but to "help" him in the organization of drug trafficking. "Work a little differently, don't trust anyone until you solve your problems...", she advises her son.
"With this money? But not one gram, tell him to forget it…”, she orders Eduarti in the direction of a negotiation. During the operation of the Italian police, 12 kilograms of cocaine and almost 50 thousand euros in cash were seized.
Two other people ended up in jail after drugs were found in their home. One of the suspects, a 31-year-old Moroccan, was the victim of an armed ambush in Paderno Dugnano on the evening of March 12, but was unhurt.
The turnover of the group is great. Just to give an example, thanks to a notebook where the accounts were kept, the investigators have reconstructed at least part of the sales: 544,500 euros.
For this reason, the investigating judge Mattia Fiorentini has ordered the seizure "for equivalent" of the gang's property.
After a trip to Calabria, one of the arrested said: "There were a hundred Calabrians and only one Albanian. You will see tomorrow what I will do, I will go get that pampampam (gun) and carry it with me as before. I will not surrender to them alive, I would rather kill myself."
