SASPAC file/ In prison since July 2024, Ilir Beqaj seeks freedom at the GJKKO

Former Minister of Health and former head of EU funds management, Ilir Beqaj, is requesting the replacement of the security measure, arrest with imprisonment, in the Special Court.

He is accused of 5 criminal offenses in the SASPAC file, for which in yesterday's session he requested the case be dismissed, returned for completion or, if judged, the process be conducted in a shortened procedure.

Beqaj is also a defendant in the sterilization case.
