The Special Court rejects the request of former head of the Albanian Anti-Corruption Agency (ARRSH) Evis Berberi to replace the security measure of arrest with imprisonment in exchange for a property guarantee.

The decision was made by Judge Marinela Osmani, who did not take into account the arguments presented by Berber's lawyer.

The former director of the ARA has been held in a detention cell since March 2024, as a suspect by the Special Prosecution Office for committing the criminal offenses of passive corruption and money laundering and violation of equality in tenders.
