Lezha Police have revealed the names of 7 people arrested during the anti-drug operation codenamed "Perimeter 2" today.

An illegal gambling activity was also cracked down on.

The arrested are: Ermir Stojani, Fatjon Fufi, Xhulio Marku, Bruno Dungaj, Elson Piscaku, Fatjon Piscaku and Kol Stojani .

The latter is accused of organizing gambling.

Four people have been detained, while two others have been arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration.

During the operation, a premises where illegal gambling was being organized was also discovered. The owner of the premises was arrested, who, according to the Police, had not registered the activity and employees with the competent authorities.

Lezha Police Announcement:

"The operation codenamed "Perimeter 2" is being finalized, to crack down on the criminal activity of selling narcotics and the illegal organization of gambling."

7 citizens are arrested. Cannabis Sativa narcotics, 6 vehicles, cell phones and 7 various electronic devices for gambling are seized.

Investigations suspect that the narcotics were distributed in various areas in the city of Laç, in some cases even near schools.   

The Narcotics Investigation Sector, the Operational Support Section and the "Eagle" Special Force Sector of the Lezha Police Department, and the Rapid Intervention Forces (RNF) of Tirana, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lezha, finalized the police operation codenamed "Perimeter 2".

The operation was finalized after several months of investigations using special methods, based on information obtained through operational means, about several citizens who were carrying out the criminal activity of selling narcotics, in doses, in the city of Laç.

As a result of investigative and operational actions, it became possible to legally document this criminal activity, detain 4 citizens and arrest 2 others in flagrante delicto, all residents of Laç, Kurbin, as suspects for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration.

Investigations suspect that these citizens were obtaining the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa, which they divided into doses and sold in various areas in the city of Laç, in some cases even near schools.    

Also, during the operation, 1 premises where gambling games were organized, using computers, in violation of the law, was discovered. In this case, the owner of the premises, the father of 2 of the arrested citizens, was arrested, who had not registered the entity and its employees with the competent authorities.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lezha, for further action.
