A 31-year-old Albanian has appeared in court in Linz for large-scale drug trafficking.
Among other things, in May 2024, a 31-year-old Albanian was arrested, who, according to the indictment, was responsible for the trafficking of more than 116 kilograms of marijuana, 35 kilograms of cocaine, 3 kilograms of speed and 1 kilogram of meth.
He either received the drugs himself as part of multiple trafficking trips from Albania, the Netherlands or Germany or, in some cases, had accomplices who received them for him.
Among other things, a prepared car with hidden storage compartments was used.
In Austria, the Albanian then sold the "things" to various large buyers.
On October 23, he appeared in court in Linz. During the trial, the amount of drugs he was charged with was reduced by half.
On the whole, the judge and jury had not the slightest doubt of his guilt.
The Albanian was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison from a sentence of up to 15 years.
