On the show "Studio 24", the former head of the State Police, Gledis Nano, revealed that if he had not been dismissed from his post, his mandate would have ended in September of this year.
Nano said he would like to be on duty because he wanted to provide, from his experience, the example and spirit that the police need.
Gledis Nano has described the frequent movements in the high dome of the State as actions that not only harm the police but also deter young people from joining the structure.
"Departure so often does not serve the police structure and even more so the new arrivals, and when this instability is seen, what message does it give to young people? This is also seen in the number of employees leaving the state police to work in private service," Nano stressed.
"My mandate ends in September, I was appointed in 2021 and for 5 years it ends now in 2026. As a rule, like you, I would like to finish my mandate, because I wanted to give an example and spirit from my experience. The trial was won in 2 instances for unfair dismissal.
The procedure for dismissing the police director requires a proposal from the Minister of Interior, so it requires a report.
Resignation is resignation, while my decision was dismissal.
"The reason why senior police leaders leave can have many causes. Leaving so often does not serve the police structure and even more so the new arrivals and when this instability is seen, what message does it give to young people? This is also seen in the number of employees leaving the state police to work in private service," said Gledis Nano.
