Berisha "satisfied" with the judging panel for "Partizan",

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has not accepted the resignation of special judge Elsa Ulliri from the "Partizani" case.

During this Monday's session, Ulliri herself, who is also the chairwoman of the trial panel, reported that the president of the GJKKO, Erion Bani, decided not to accept her request to resign from this case.

Meanwhile, at this moment, on the other hand, Sali Berisha's lawyer, Genc Gjokutaj, requested the exclusion of the entire judging panel.

"We demand to be tried by an impartial court. The judges of the Special Court are controlled by SPAK."

The judges of the Special Court are under constant supervision, which does not meet the requirements for the independence of this court.

"This oversight of the court by a party to the process violates the principle of an independent court," said Gjokutaj.

This request by Gjokutaj contradicted the statement made a little earlier by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha himself, who said that he had no objection to the three-judge panel.

"I have no objections to any specific judge," Berisha said from the SPAK premises, while he was represented in court by Gjokutaj.

We recall that Judge Elsa Ulliri submitted a request to resign from this process with the argument that she is a cousin of Democratic Party MP Andia Ulliri.

The other two members are Judge Bib Ndreca and Judge Rudina Palloi.
