Weapon, bulletproof vest, fake documents and stamps in apartment, 32-year-old from Saranda arrested in Greece

A 32-year-old man from Saranda has been arrested following a Greek police operation in Thrakomakedones, Athens. Police conducted a search of a residence in the area, following suspicions that illegal items were present.

During the searches in the apartment where Kostandin Nesturi, 32 years old from Saranda and Greek Alexandros Banin, 29 years old, lived, 1 automatic firearm with 9 cartridges, 1 bulletproof vest, 5 cartridges, a pair of fake license plates, a fake Greek identity card, 2 official seals, 4 business seals, 3.6 grams of cocaine, 27 grams of marijuana, 2 scales, 16 marijuana grinders, 2 Lap-Tops were found and seized.

Greek police are investigating the reasons why the two suspects were carrying weapons and false documents in the apartment.

Kostandin Nesturi has a criminal record in Albania. He was arrested in Saranda in 2014 for stealing 360 liters of diesel from a telephone company's generator. In 2023, he was arrested in Saranda while driving a BMW suspected of being stolen in Spain, and during the search, a quantity of marijuana was found.
