The Special Court of Appeal has today (September 19) left in force the measure of preventive seizure for the assets of the suspects Arben Lamçja, Arjon Ormenaj, Klajdi Merkaj, Manjola Hysenaj, of the companies "Elba Beton", "Hotel Demis" and persons of others under investigation.
Their assets had previously been subject to seizure by the first instance GJKKO, at the request of SPAK, as the suspects had not exercised their right to appeal.
Seizures were imposed after the operation of the Special Prosecutor's Office on July 31, where they requested the arrest of 33 people, but only 11 were arrested, while two others were charged in prison, as they were arrested earlier for other criminal offenses. For the case, investigations are also being conducted for a possible de-conspiracy of the operation.
The group in question, which included the brothers Hajdar and Franc Çopja, are accused by the Prosecutor's Office of a series of assassinations and murders, while a property investigation was also launched against them.
Franc Çopja was arrested on behalf of Belgium, while Hajdar Çopja continues to be wanted, where there is information that he is in Dubai.
A part of the assets of the criminal organization run by Çopjajt was in the name of Arben Lamçe, arrested in Kosovo and recently extradited to Albania, where he is accused of providing conditions for the murder of Nuredin Duman and money laundering.
