The Albanian Ambassador to Austria, Fate Velaj, held a meeting today with Peter Eisenschenk, mayor of Tulln. Velaj says that they discussed the possibility of a partnership with Përmet, while noting that there is another similarity between the two cities, both are known as the "Cities of Flowers".
"Today I held a meeting with Peter Eisenschenk, mayor of Tulln, otherwise known as the "City of Flowers", as the famous flower fair is also held here.
I discussed with him the possibility of a partnership with Përmet, which is also known here as the “City of Flowers.” Our two cities are connected not only by flowers, but also by rivers: Tulln is crossed by the Danube, while Përmet is crossed by the Vjosa.
"The president expressed optimism about the start of talks," Velaj wrote in a post on social media.
