Accident on the Lushnje-Fier highway, one injured

An accident occurred around 9:30 on the Lushnje-Fier highway, near the village of Bishqethëm.

A vehicle with Greek license plates was hit from behind by an SUV. The vehicle with Greek license plates ended up in the canal next to the highway.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, who was an immigrant who had returned from Greece to his family, has ended up in the hospital. According to doctors at the Lushnja hospital, his condition is out of danger.

In addition to the ambulance, Traffic Police forces also rushed to the scene.

The investigation team is carrying out the first investigative actions to clarify the causes of the accident, while it is initially suspected that the SUV did not maintain the distance and at the moment the Opel vehicle with Greek license plates turned on the signal to exit onto a secondary road, it was hit by the SUV and ended up in the canal.

This road axis still remains problematic in terms of road accidents that occur almost daily.
