"I have never spoken to Martin Çeço, I have never heard his name before, I heard it for the first time at the police station. The officers told me they would bury me here, they pressured me to accept it" - This is what 21-year-old Tina Pajollari, who is accused of being the person who ambushed Martin Çeço in June 2022, declared.
In an interview for "Uniko", Pajollari, who was only 18 years old at the time, confessed her "truth", insisting on her innocence and emphasizing that she has no connection to the incident.
She has also filed charges against police officers, claiming that she was pressured into accepting the version they demanded of her.
"Yes, of course, he told me to stick to what you said, don't change because if you change, you will rot in prison," the young woman said during this interview, while further insisting that she had no connection with the victim and that she never knew Martin Çeço before the investigations.
She has also denied any communication or involvement with the other people mentioned in the file, calling these allegations untrue.
According to her, the investigations have been accompanied by constant pressure and methods that she considers unfair, including prolonged detention in police premises, in a hotel, and the way her statements were taken, writes newsbomb.
"We definitely came at this moment because she was taking testimonies, doing whatever she wanted, keeping me in a hotel for 3-4 days. The police officer and Leonard Ndreka. In a hotel that was near the police station. In June they kept me. They also kept me in the police station, they even hit me on the head with a book and told me to tell them that we have the whole night with you here and we are waiting. She wanted me to sleep, how could I talk when I told her that I had nothing to do with it," she said, among other things.
We recall that Martina Pajollari left her cell in April of this year after serving about three years in prison. The court imposed a measure of "house arrest" on her. Meanwhile, the three other defendants, Valter Mollaj, Edlir Mollaj and Blendi Angjo, were also released with the same measure.
The serious incident occurred on June 12, 2022 in the village of Kolavec in Maliqi, where the young man's body was found strangled with a rope and thrown into a reservoir, two days after his family reported him missing. Cousins Valter and Edlir Mollaj, shepherd Bledi Angjo and Martina Pajollari, who was said to have ambushed the victim, were found guilty of this crime.
Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal in Tirana overturned the decision of the Court of First Instance in Korça, which on February 10, 2025 had sentenced the accused for the murder of Martin Çeço to a total of 83 years in prison.
Unë kam qenë te ish i fejuari. Patjetër i thashë unë.
Ke pasur komunikime me bashkëshorten e Emiljanit?
Marina Pajollari, your name was first mentioned by Martin's father Nevzat Çeço who stated that the boy was talking to Tina Pajollari and rightly so because what was revealed was that he loved you by seeing you on FB, but physically he had seen the daughter of the rector at the agency in Korça. Now we have your testimony that says ok they forced me to accept, yes or I accepted. But at first you said "Yes", what happened that you said that those three people you spoke to, spoke to Martin?
-Klaudia, the officer, called me and told me to say that it was them, admit it, or you'll go to jail. I was little then, there were 50 police officers there, I was scared, I didn't even know what I was saying there.
You told your version under pressure, but where did the information that you were connected to Vali, Valter Mollaj, come from?
-This is not true. The officer picked up the phone and opened it, checked the messages, I also spoke to her brother, but I was talking to them about the cattle issue.
I didn't know Marin Çeço at all, I never spoke to him. I didn't know what he was like. He sent me an invitation on FB once and I deleted it. I didn't speak to him.
