After that disappointing 3-0 defeat to Romania, Ukraine made a triumphant return to Euro 2024 as they beat Slovakia 2-1.

Again the game started badly for the Ukrainians, as Slovakia took the lead in the 17th minute through Schranz. The first half ended with a minimal advantage for the Slovaks, who then surrendered in the second.

Shaparenko equalized in the 54th minute, while Yaremchuk sealed the score at 2-1 in the 80th minute.

Now, Ukraine climbs to second place with 3 points, the same as Romania and Slovakia. In the last group matches, Ukraine will play Belgium, while Slovakia will play Romania.
