" Albanians are thought to have spent 18 million Euros in 1 single day on June 15 in Dortmund, Germany for the Italy-Albania match ", said journalist Blendi Fevziu in a post on the social network "Instagram".
However, Fevziu says that it is thought that around 80,000 Albanian fans were present in Dortmund in support of the National Team , which thus brings the expenditure figure to around 28 million Euros .
Meanwhile, Italian fans, who were significantly fewer in number, are thought to have spent 7.5 million Euros on June 15 in Dortmund.
Blendi Fevziu: Albanians are thought to have spent between 18 and 28 million Euros in 1 single day on June 15 in Dortmund, Germany for the Italy-Albania match. About 51 thousand Albanians have registered in Dortmund for the match and with an expenditure of 350 Euros which is considered as the average daily expenditure of a fan in Euro 2024, it is thought that they have spent about 18 million Euros, compared to 7.5 million Euros for the Italians, who have were clearly outnumbered in Dortmund. But according to the German police, the number of Albanian fans in the stadium and in the city has exceeded 80,000 people, which leads to the expenditure figure, multiplying by 350 Euros, over 28 million Euros. Of course, this expense does not include the stadium ticket, does not include transportation from Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and European countries to Dortmund. So in a single day, the Albanians may have spent up to 28, maybe even more, million Euros for the Italy-Albania match.
