Now it's official, Thiago Motta is the new coach of Juventus. The Whites have dispelled any doubts through a post on social networks, thus starting a new period at the club after the departure of Massimiliano Allegri.
The 41-year-old comes after a fantastic season with Bologna, where he finished 5th and qualified for the Champions League, the first time for the Emilian team since the distant year 1964/65.
Thiago Motta has signed a 3-year contract until June 30, 2027. Motta took his first training steps in 2018 with the youth team of Paris Saint-Germain, the team with which he ended his football career.
The former midfielder started his managerial experience in Italy with Genoa in 2019, before moving to Spezia and then to Bologna.
The change in the bench for the Old Lady is seen as a way to change the playing style of the team, which for several years has suffered the transition and the lack of the championship title, as they won the last one in 2020. As a coach, Motta has stood out with his offensive football and the leaders of the white and white have been convinced by the qualities of the 41-year-old.
The signature with the coach is expected to be followed by moves in the football player market, as Douglas Luiz and Mason Greenwood are close to the transfers.
