With 68 matches with the national team and 10 goals scored, Igli Tare has a pawn in his career with the red and black national team. He has never faced Italy.

In an interview for "Gazzeta dello Sport", the 50-year-old calls it an unrealized dream.

In Italy, he has played almost half of his life, while he considers the country as his second home. He played for Brescia, Bologna and Lazio before becoming the sporting director of the Blue and Whites.

With the blue, he calls Saturday's challenge "special".

"In Dortmund you will see 70% of the stadium wearing Albanian jerseys. You cannot imagine the pride that Albanians feel. Italy has the only advantage of being more expert. As for the quality of the players, Albania can play as equals if they manage the emotional factor properly. You need the right enthusiasm, without overdoing it, because it blocks you."

Tare thinks that in all 3 meetings of the group, the weight will be on the rivals, and this can turn into a point of strength for the Reds and Blacks.

"Albania knows Italy's strengths, especially from the wings. And he knows he has to make the perfect match. Crazy intensity and the ability to take advantage of every opportunity, but it is in a good moment, in the qualifiers he played very well, dominating. Just need to increase the intensity level. In Europe it will be much higher."

Tare sees the support of the fans as a strong point of the Rossoneri, while the weak point is the lack of playing time for half of the players of the representative team.

"It will take the perfect match in both stages, but from everyone! Linked players, little space in depth or in one-on-one duels. The number? He has everything to become a world-class striker. But when he shows humility and sacrifice on the field, he will confirm what is expected of him. It has rare qualities for today's football."

Tare thinks that Gianluca Scamacca has the chance to make the difference in Italy, but in a duel with Berat Gjimshiti, the red and black defender will emerge victorious.

As an expert in the market, he points out two names that can do well in Italian football, the defender Mario Mitaj and the attacking midfielder Ernest Muçi.
