Midfielder Granit Xhaka was one of the protagonists of Bayer Leverkusen this season, in winning the Bundesliga title.

After the triumph, Xhaka appeared very happy, while declaring that he had always dreamed of this moment.

"When you start football, you dream of moments like these. In my adolescence, I followed many moments like these. For me it is a dream come true. I've won titles with Basel, but triumphs overseas are always more special. Now we are back to legends as this club had never won the title.

I am not surprised by anything from that scene that we saw, since we had fans in the stadium who had been waiting for this moment for 60 or 70 years. We were also in our field and this element makes this title even more special", said Xhaka.
