The historic change of the German Federation has also irritated the Minister of Health, Karl Lauterbach. "'Adidas' is no longer the jersey of the national football team? An American company instead? Wrong decision, commercialism destroys a tradition, a part of the house," Lauterbach wrote in a post on X.

Even the member of the Bundestag, Dorothe Baer, ​​always in X, has called the decision of the Dfb "wrong and ruthless". The cooperation of the German national team with "Nike" should last until 2034.

According to the German daily "Handelsblatt", citing sources close to this sector, the American manufacturer of sports clothing will invest more than 100 million euros per year, starting from 2027. This means that "Nike" would exceed by a large margin the amount of the contract with "Adidas", which, according to "Bild", guaranteed the Federation 50 million euros per year.
