Alvaro Morata is officially a Milan player. The announcement came from the Italian club itself, which also revealed the details of the contract.
The Spanish striker has signed until the summer of 2028, with the possibility of renewal for another season, if he convinces with his performances.
The 31-year-old will wear the jersey number 7, while the number 9 is still vacant after Giroud's departure, leading to speculation that Milan will sign another striker.
"AC Milan is pleased to announce that it has acquired the services of striker Álvaro Borja Morata Martín from Club Atlético de Madrid. The captain of the Spanish national team, with which he has just been declared European champion, Morata has signed a contract with the Red and Black club until June 30, 2028 with an option for another year," the club's announcement states.
Milan paid the coffers of Atletico Madrid an amount of 13 million euros, which was the release clause for the striker.
Morata returns to play in Serie A, where he excelled in the past with Juventus, before returning to Real Madrid.
