Lothar Matthäus pushes Goretzka towards Milan: I see him quite well next to
Leon Goretzka

"I haven't decided yet and I wouldn't say that this choice will be made between the end of the season and the start of the World Cup. I will simply decide when I feel the time is right." This is what Leon Goretzka declared regarding his future destination after winning the German Cup.

The midfielder, whose contract with the Bavarian club is expiring, is being talked about in Germany about a move to Milan, but the footballer preferred not to say anything at this point.

But it was actually a legend of Bayern Munich and German football, Lothar Matthäus, who spoke about it.

"Leon is a model footballer. I would like to thank him because these 8 years with him have been fun. Leon has always been an example," said Matthäus.

These are the statements that were made to Sky Deutschland and Goretzka was very close, with the midfielder feeling pampered, but also somewhat embarrassed, looking for an excuse to leave.

"I have to go, they're singing my favorite song," Goretzka said, referring to Bayern's anthem, and it was at this moment that Matthäus continued his statement.

"I would love to see him next to Modric. I see him taking on this challenge for the future," said the German football legend.
