The draw for the new season calendar of the Abyssnet Superiore has been made. The ceremony took place today at 11:00 at the "House of Football", where the 10 participating teams learned the matches they will have during the regular season.

In the 2026/27 edition, the Albanian football elite will have 10 teams. Skënderbeu and Laçi return to the championship, while the rest of the teams consist of Egnatia, AF Elbasani, Vllaznia, Dinamo Siti, Partizani, Tirana, Vora and Teuta.

This will be the 88th edition of the Albanian elite championship. The season is scheduled to start on August 22 and end on May 9.

According to the established format, there will initially be 27 weeks where all teams will face each other. After the end of this phase, the teams' points will be halved and the competition will be divided into two groups.

The top six teams will advance to the play-offs, where they will compete for the championship title. This stage will consist of two rounds of home and away matches, for a total of 10 more weeks.

Meanwhile, the four teams ranked at the bottom of the table will compete in the play-off phase for survival in the elite. For these teams, three home-and-away phases will be held, bringing another 9 weeks of the championship.

At the end of the season, the team ranked in tenth place will be relegated directly from the category, while the team that ends the championship in ninth place will play the "play out" final against a team from the First Category.
