Georgia writes history, Portugal and Turkey also qualify
Kvaratskhelia celebrating the goal

Georgia has written history, as in "Veltins Arena", in Gelsenkirchen, it defeated Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal with a clean score of 2 to 0, managing to secure a place among the best of Euro 2024, in their debut edition and on the other hand , Turkey managed a thrilling draw against the Czech Republic, positioning themselves as the second best team in Group F.

The Georgian "Crusaders" reached the historic qualification, with the boys of technician Willy Sagnol, who scored a goal in each half, while initially it was the fantasist Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, who shook Diogo Costa's net in the 2nd minute of the challenge and more Georges Mikautadze took the ball over the shoulders of the Portuguese goalkeeper in the 55th minute to seal everything.

On the other side, Vincenzo Montella's Turkey also achieved great success as they narrowly beat the Czech Republic 1-2, with Cenk Tosu and Hakan Calhanoglu canceling out Soucek's goal, thus securing qualification for the the next stage of Euro 2024, where in the 1/16 stage they will face Austria, in a match that is expected to be spectacular.

Thus, after Portugal, which secured the qualification in the second round and, as we mentioned above, Turkey, Georgia will also go to the next round, with the "Crusaders" who ended their journey, in their phase, in the country of 3rd, with 4 points, but that was enough to reach the qualification among the best third place teams.

Georgia will play Spain on Sunday, while on Monday it will be Portugal-Slovenia. While Montella's Turkey will face Austria on July 2.
