The "architect" of Albania, coach Sylvinho, first thanked the many fans who supported the Albanian National Team.
"First of all, I thank the fans, there were many, many Albanians who supported us. The competition was very difficult, physical, but I think we played a great match"
He emphasized that the strength of the group is the strongest weapon of this Albania...
Sylvinho says that with the Czech Republic, the Albanian team has taken an important step, but nothing is finished yet, adding that there are 2 more matches.
At first we said it was a difficult draw, but the results are showing that we have grown. Was this the most beautiful victory?
We have to step up to catch Brazil. It was a very nice match. We faced a physically strong, well-established team that had not even suffered a defeat. We did very well in this match.
We have one foot in Tirana and one in Berlin...
It is true that we have taken a very important step, but nothing is finished. We must all be aware that in November everything is decided and we must wait with our feet on the ground.
How did you manage to change the mentality of this team so quickly?
Working. The first thing I did was the decision to live in Tirana, which gave me the opportunity to work much better, thanks to the conditions provided by the Federation. We monitor many players, either being in Albania or traveling to the countries where they play, to communicate. We are one and we all work as a group. The players have realized that if there is an opportunity to go forward, it is through the strength of the group.
Would you like better ball management when the opponent was left with 10 players?
The first thing I said to the players at the end of the first half was to manage the game better. We have a lot of players who play in transition, who want to attack spaces and want to go forward.
You surprised your Czech counterpart in both matches. There you attacked him up, while today you waited for him, leaving the field and caught him by surprise. Do you think the strategy was the strongest point?
Very fair reading of the match. They were forced to make a change in the midfield and introduced a technical footballer who always passed the ball in the attacking phase. Since we played a lot in transition, we opened the game well when they were left with 10 players. There was no other way, as they left us a lot of space and we had to go forward.
Do you have any rituals outside of work, since things go perfectly for you? Perfect goals, disallowed opponents' goals and red cards for them...
I believe in work. Of course, you know football well and there are times when you work hard and things go well. Not just work on the field, but also to create a healthy environment off the field.
