The US Embassy in Tirana disclosed the meeting of the senior official of the American State Department with the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK), Altin Dumani.
Colleen Hyland, Director of the Office of Southern and Central Europe at the US Department of State, has expressed US support for SPAK and independent Albanian institutions, saying that justice reform has a decisive role in advancing Albania's Euro-Atlantic journey.
"During her visit today to Tirana, Colleen Hyland, Director of the Office of Southern and Central Europe at the US State Department, met with the Chief Prosecutor of SPAK, Altin Dumani. Ms. Hyland reiterated the full support of the United States for SPAK and Albania's independent institutions, emphasizing the crucial role of justice reform in advancing Albania's journey towards its Euro-Atlantic aspirations," the US Embassy post said.
