The National Council of the Democratic Party, in the meeting held this afternoon at the blue headquarters, decided to postpone by 24 hours the date of the national protest, which was called only a few hours after the decision of the Court of Appeal to sentence the deputy, Ervin Salianji, to 1 year in prison. .

The strategy of the Democrats for the rally that will start at 18:00 on October 7 on the boulevard "Martyrs of the Nation" is not that of a protest with only speeches, like those we have seen in previous national protests that have been called in the capital .

As for the model that will be followed in this protest, it will be a protest held in several different locations of Tirana.

It is learned that Flamur Noka's order for all branch heads is to mobilize PD supporters by going to the ground, in daily meetings, mainly in Tirana, and avoiding telephone communications.

Meanwhile, the head of the National Council, Edi Paloka, explained the reasons that led to the shift of the protest date by 24 hours.

Edi Paloka (President of the DP National Council): The protest was planned for Sunday, October 6. The roads will be blocked throughout Albania. It was decided that the starting date of the opposition action will be October 7. The protest will take place in Tirana on Monday at 18:00. We will start from the Prime Minister's Office, which is the symbol of the protest, then we will move throughout Tirana. You will have the details in due course. There will be no protests like we have done so far and no speeches.

Flamur Noka (Secretary General of DP): The first idea was to block access, so it was the 6th as a start. All heads of branches should commit to participation. Meet with members and forget about group communications on the phone. We are at war.  We do not have the luxury of being notified and engaged through this means. It's not serious. To respect anyone we invite to the protest. Let's meet them. Tirana branches must be on the ground every day. Members of the National Council, deputies in the areas.
