The Court of Appeal has upheld the decision of the Court of First Instance that sentenced DP MP Ervin Salianji to 1 year in prison.

Salianji said that he will be at the disposal of justice, while he described his punishment as a political punishment.

Salianji said that he will conduct the electoral campaign from prison. The Democratic MP was declared guilty by the Court of Appeal for 'false report' for the 'Babale' file.

"Without question, I will follow the other judicial procedures. This is a decision that is not changed in the Albanian courts. Fatmri Xhafaj wants to capture other judicial islands. I will be available, I will be here. I will cancel all to be here and I will discuss about it all.

I will be available and I will make the prison where they want, they will be available to the gangs and they have nothing to do with me. I will be in an extraordinary campaign, I am the first political convict in 34 years and I will do the campaign from prison", said Salianji.
