EU foreign ministers reconfirmed support for Albania's membership in the European Union.
European Union Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas held a press conference after the meeting of foreign ministers in Luxembourg.
Kallas said that the Western Balkan countries should be part of our European family, so the integration process is very important for this.
During the conference, Kallas said that our country has made significant reforms. According to her, Albania and Montenegro are making important steps and expressed her belief that these two countries will be success stories in this process.
"I met with the chief diplomats from the Western Balkans. Even at the meeting of foreign ministers we made it clear that stability in this region is essential. If you look at the map, these countries are geographically in Europe.
They should be part of our European family, so the integration process is very important for this. We note that Albania and Montenegro are making significant steps with integration reforms.
I am convinced that these two countries will be success stories in this process. We must move faster towards their EU membership.
"We also want to move forward with the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. Many of the ministers stated that any participation in the May 9 parade in Moscow would be counterproductive for the Serbian side," said Kaja Kallas.
