Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha, in addition to calling on citizens to join in today's protest, has also called on other opposition parties to unite for the common goal.

Berisha says that this process will not stop until the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama is overthrown.

"This mission is the chance of a lifetime for every citizen. The chance to overthrow, just like in Bangladesh and Nepal, autocratic dictators who, after stealing and plundering billions from their own nations, flee as enemies to other countries."

December 22 is a significant day, it is a day that invites every Albanian. I invite all opposition political forces, all those who feel opposition, regardless of differences, to unite to prove to the world and Albanians that there is no force that can stop us without overthrowing the most hostile, worst regime that Albanians have known in history. Tirana is boiling and the protest today will mark the great turning point, it will mark the turning point towards the victory of every citizen for his dignity.

This is an inaugural process. We go down to the field after we have done every task, after we have verified everything and we are sworn to continue our fight until the overthrow of the regime. We started this with the podium in front of the Prime Minister's Office. There were quite a few who ridiculed it. It had a message: that square will be the square of freedom", said Berisha.
