The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha , said today at a press conference with the media that the real owners of Vlora airport are Prime Minister Edi Rama and his deputy Belinda Balluku, as businessmen, including Behgjet Pacolli, are simply " presta nome ".
He demanded a comprehensive investigation into this mega-affair.
"A comprehensive investigation is needed for the Vlora airport. Guarantees can never be given for the Vlora airport. The airport is a mega-corrupt affair. I have denounced it, despite the fact that Pacolli was there," he said.
Berisha further explained that the concession company would extort Albanian taxes with the help of the government, because even if no flights were made, they would collect 140 million euros from Albanian taxes.
"It is terrible to fine Albanians, the forecast is 700 million profit for 35 years of concession and the first 10 years taxpayers pay the concessionaire 140 million. The state could never give a guarantee for 600 thousand tickets", said the head of the blue headquarters.
In the end, he said that Behgjet Pacolli and Valon Ademi were simply "presta nome" and the owners are Rama and Balluku.
Berisha also congratulated the two former ministers Ahmetaj and Gjiknuri who refused to sign the airport, but added that it was 'Lubi Balluku' who did it.
"Pacolli and Valoni are simply prestano, but the real owners are Rama, Balluku and the others. I congratulate the two former ministers who did not sign it, it was a fine for Albanian taxpayers. They refused, but Balluku signed the mega-affair," he said.
