Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized today that without the will of the Socialist Party, justice would not be freed from the clutches of political power.
Regarding the investigated or arrested socialists, he said that "like every forest that has its own pigs, the SP also has in this process individuals who unfortunately belong to justice and not to the path of the SP."
Rama : Regarding justice, I think I have a lot to say. There is a discussion that this person was not put in prison, that person was not put in prison, that person is not being punished, and these are billed as the fault, or as the responsibility or fault of the SP.
But without the Socialist Party, without our will, what is happening would never have happened, that justice would be freed from the clutches of political power, independent of political power, and would act regardless of which side one or the other belongs to.
It has never happened in the history of the Albanian state since 2012 until we implemented the justice reform that there has been a single person connected to political power who has been placed before an independent judiciary.
Fatos Nano was convicted by a political court, we are not talking about that, but about independent institutions.
This is a historic achievement of the Socialist Party and there should be no discussion at all that here in Albania there is only one party that is fighting to become a state.
Like every forest that has its own pigs, the SP also has individual people in this process who unfortunately belong to justice and not the SP path.
But, today there is less corruption because today if there was more corruption we would not be sitting at the EU negotiating table.
