The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, said in his speech at the opening of the opposition's electoral campaign that now is not the time for change, but for revolution.
"Another 29 days to end the absolute monism of the local government.
I often wonder, finally after four years, we will scale exactly what no one thought and imagined in Albania, that this country, a member of NATO, 100 percent pro-European, will be a country where illegally , a clique controls the entire local government.
We know that absolute power means absolute corruption as does rebirth. Therefore, it is not time for change, because the time for change has passed with time, it is time for revolution.
The voting revolution will bring about the overthrow of absolute corruption and once and for all absolute transparency, absolute accountability.
That finally there will be mayors who will solve vital problems of the citizens.
In front of these candidates they have no rivals, but a regime rotten to the core. A regime that requires only one deferred with your vote.
These are the most legitimate candidates that the history of our country has known. In front of them are the candidates who do not dare to appear in televised debates because they are totally worn out and full of scandals and broken promises.
They are the candidates who are doing the last services to a regime whose time has ended", said Meta, among other things.
