The Ethics Secretariat excludes Agron Shehaj from the proceedings of the Assembly for 20 days

The MP from the Mundësia party has been suspended from the Assembly for 20 days. This decision was taken today at a meeting of the Secretariat for Procedures, Voting and Ethics at the request of the majority.

The SP argued the request for Shehaj's expulsion by saying that in the previous session, the MP blocked the podium and refused to leave the hall after the expulsion measure, obstructing the proceedings of the session.

Shehaj raised his voice for the residents of Rrjoll and their month-long protests against the construction of a luxury resort by builder and publisher Bashkim Ulaj, allegedly on their land. Shehaj accused the government of favoring the oligarch and stealing property from the citizens of Rrjoll.
