Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted after the approval of a resolution by the European People's Parties, stating that the elections in Albania are under threat and calling on the European Union to intervene through its mechanisms.
Rama calls this resolution a "swamp lightning bolt" that was approved in the empty hall of the EPP's sister parties. He calls this the preparation of an "alibi for defeat" in the May 11 elections.
"The alibi of defeat began in the EPP, where the empty hall of sister parties unanimously voted for the lightning bolt of the Magnificent Swamp for the loss of freedom of elections. A quack-quack-quash text that shows that the sweet illusion of Latif the magician is giving way to the bitter feeling of the magnificent defeat of May 11," Rama writes.
