As part of the electoral campaign for the May 14 municipal elections, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting today with the residents of Lezhë and after the meeting, as in any other city, trees were planted.

During his speech, Rama emphasized that this different campaign of the Socialist Party will benefit the cities, avoiding, according to him, pollution and unnecessary expenses with propaganda materials.

Because we have decided to turn part of the party's funds for the election campaign into a donation of trees for all municipalities by cutting part of the expenses for propagandistic scenes and materials which cost a lot, but leave nothing behind for the people or the city, in addition to increasing visual and acoustic pollution. You have seen that posters are often put on the walls and then fall off like diseased skin. Removing a part of these, we have dedicated the first part of the campaign mainly to planting trees together with the mayors and I am glad that today we are coming to a municipality that after 4 years, with Pjerin Ndreu, is completely different. I'm not saying that everything here is perfectly fine because then we would be talking about something magical, but there is only hard work to fill an infinity of holes inherited from the past and move forward. Anyone with brains and eyes can see the big difference between Lezha yesterday and Lezha today", said the head of the government.

Even today, Rama did not avoid the attack on the duo Meta-Berisha, appealing to the citizens not to make a mistake and vote for dates. The Prime Minister said that as long as Berisha did nothing when he did not have the "Non Grata stamp", he can never do anything more.

"It is unfortunate that it returned to the hands of those who are very meaningful, but it is simultaneously very bitter in the 30 years since there have been local democratic elections, they have not managed to create an example of a municipality or commune that under their leadership has not gone back, but forward. Tropoja has changed so much that it has not changed for 25 years, we can show you the Great Highlands, Kukes, and I am not talking about other municipalities that we have governed for a longer time. This is not a national election, nor to look at things politically. And if we see them, it is inconceivable to vote for a man who isolates himself, as the president has isolated himself, he promises them the miracle that he did not even have the mark.
