Prime Minister Edi Rama held a rally with the women and girls of Durrës, where, in addition to demanding the next mandate after the May 11 elections, he also ironized the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.
While talking about the importance of negotiations with the European Union, and that according to him only the Socialist Party can agree with the union, Rama asked ironically, "What will he do in Brussels, raise the ceiling?", referring to Berisha's visit to Kruja, where he spoke about the ceiling for businesses and his video with a merchant went viral.
"Honestly, we talked about mandates here. Now, if it's about the 8th mandate, we know it very well, we get them even if it's simply and by doing what we've always done, a lot of work for sure, but they can't take them away from us. But we need something more, not for me or for... we need something more to have continuity in negotiations and not to be interrupted for a second and negotiations are discussions, agreements, and when an agreement is made they say they'll do this, this, this, and we say we'll do it, these will go to Parliament. They need support, they ask for support. Imagine now that these processes get through the swamp. It doesn't work out, because I don't think Albania will take the owl to Brussels. After we completely overturned their image of Albania, we made it a respected, valued country, that they can't look down on us and because they are bigger and stronger, they look us in the eye. Imagine now that they find out that the Albanians decided that you should talk to the owl, that in every sentence, the lights go out 3 times. What will he do, will he raise the ceiling for those in Brussels? We need to keep in mind that on May 16 in Tirana, all of Europe will come to Skanderbeg Square, not only the EU, but everyone from London to Ankara, to Baku, Kiev, Stockholm, everyone, EU and non-EU, all those who are members of the Council of Europe. Everyone will come there, to Skanderbeg, together with the Secretary General of NATO, everyone… ", said Rama.
